Description: The Flight One ATR 72-500

After over 15,000 man hours of work, research, and planning, Flight One Software is excited to present the ATR 72-500.

Developed with the cooperation of Avions de Transport Regional (ATR) in Toulouse, France, this has been one of Flight One Software's most exhausting development efforts. The work pays off with one of the most detailed add-ons ever produced for the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform.

Experience the ATR!

Exclusively designed for Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004 (A Century of Flight), computer pilots can experience first hand what it is like to fly the real ATR 72-500.

Select to fly from the Captain's or First Officer's panel in either of the standard brown or newly available blue/grey cockpit configuration. Experience the fully functional and highly detailed virtual cockpit with many never before features, such as truly working windshield wipers that remove the rain from the windows. Take a stroll through the virtual cabin, checking out the detailed 3D interior including 2 different seating configurations, available in 4 different color schemes. Explore the 3D exterior model and listen to the real cockpit and engine sounds recorded from the real ATR in a runup in Toulouse.

Pros: Complexity, FMC, Flight Dynamics, Flushing Toilet
Cons: Not enough hours in the day to fly it.

Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the best add-ons on the market today. This truly is a masterpiece of programming. The only thing i did not like about this was that the manual was one big manual instead of seperate sections, like one for charts, one for FMC operation, one for startng aircraft...

Pros: 1st Class Product
Cons: Not for speed demons

Never cared for the plane but wanted a break from all the jets and this one came highly praised. They were right. At first I wasnt impressed but all the details started oozing out. The V Cockpit and night is probably the best Ive ever seen. Great engine sounds, FO call outs, lots to click ect. The autopilot does not control speed so you must manually set it when you change pitch. Sounds like a chore but really adds to the fun factor than simply changing numbers.

One of my favs!

Pros: Great model, panel, systems. Very real in all aspects
Cons: Frame rate hog if not configured properly

Great to fly. as real as it gets in many aspects.. Has everything the ATR really has... Great sound package and model also.

It CAN be a frame rate hog if you do not know how to configure properly. However, after a few hours of tweaking i have it working great. One piece of advice (unless you have a very fast system and want to use the Virtual Cabin)- set your refresh rates to Medium... really helps on the frame rates..

Basically , if you system runs the PDMG737 well, it will run the ATR as well or even slightly better!

One of the best out there!
