2D clouds are ugly - if you're seeking nice puffy 3D clouds:

Use Ms ultra high default setup
Set Draw Distance for clouds to 40 miles or more, cloud percentage to 90/100%, Clouds Density to max

FPS

FPS will be radically changed for some user with doing this.

Could also try DXT3 cloud text***s in 256 format which make a huge fps improvement and look as good as the default clouds.
