The Aussies are interested too. - http://www.ausairpower.net/nf-98-print.pdf See page 91.
The F-22J will probably be a downgraded version of the F-22A, just like the F-15J/DJ compared to the C/D versions. |

While I'm all for the cooperation among countries, I'm way against the sharing of delicate techonology like that. We know the F-22 has better radar stealth capabilities, would we really want to go five other countries techonology with which we might someday go to war with?
Please guys, if I'm misinformed, someone enlighten me. |

We're only exporting them to close, trusted allies. |

Well... Iraq and USA were allies... before the Gulf War...
The French sold their jets and missiles to Iraq... in the 80's |

As I said above, they will probably be downgraded versions. If they do export to Japan, the "F-22J" will most likely not have all the "Special Technology" of the "F-22A".
As far as "Sharing Technology" goes, they probably have Canadian Test Pilots testing the F-22's already, because they're the best |

No, we just don't want any US pilots to die incase of a malfunction. |

well australia should be trusted with the tech thats in the american versions (i mean COME ON if we tried to overthrow the US we WOULD be OBLITTERATED) BTW the fact that thier sharing these is a sign that they have a new stealth aircraft operating

Why do you say that? I don't follow much with middle eastern pilots. |

The IAF is among the best air forces in the world. They've held off several attackers at once in the past with few, if any losses

Israeli armed forces are one of the best in the world, and if things continue as they are they are going to become the best. They are constantly under attack and they themselves are attacking. Not only that they are fighting for their existence. That, folks, makes the best of soldiers. Besides, they get to due "live" things, like shooting a moving car with a guided missile from a helicopter like 200 miles away to kill some top leader. If the US were to try that ... well it would get ugly. We're already unpopular as it is. ---------------------------------------------------
That's a good point. It has happened before. Has anyone heard any rumours? This post has been edited by Lethal.Ambition: Feb 19 2006, 11:08 PM |
