However, it's quiet annoying. Every window (or pop up window) i open, is placed on the upper right corner of the screen. I don't remember how to fix this. Any ideas guys ? |

Move the window where you want it, then press CTRL when closing a window
When you open it again I think it will be where you last placed it This post has been edited by Chris598: Mar 23 2007, 06:44 AM |

What Chris said, makes sense. I'll try to confirm if it works for me.
EDIT: It doesn't. This post has been edited by InverseFX: Mar 23 2007, 07:34 AM |

"Hold down the F5 function key whilst clicking on the CLOSE (X) box. Sometimes you have to maximize then restore down, and manually stretch the window to the size you want before the F5 thing, but it does seem to work for windows media player, and IE." Thanks, for you replies. Nope Chris, ctrl or F5 while closing didn't help. Is there maybe a problem with prefetch ? How can i empty the prefetch content ? I saw this on another site " Empty the Windows 'Prefetch' folder > C:WINDOWSPrefetch Empty the Windows 'Prefetch' folder every 2-3 months. Windows XP can 'prefetch' portions of data and applications that are used frequently. This makes processes appear to load faster when called upon by the user. That's fine. But over time, the prefetch folder will become overloaded with references to files and applications that are no longer in use. When that happens, Windows XP is wasting a great deal of time and slowing system performance by pre-loading them. It is safe to delete everything in this folder." Here's the link: http://www.syschat.com/tips-speeding-up-wi...thout-1256.html Hope this helps |
